The 50 mile race starts with the 18 mile race at Covenant College and carries on past mile 18 to Lula Lake Land Trust, with two exposed bluff lines and at least 5 creek crossings.

The race

What this one is

Trail races that start at the Covenant College campus on Lookout Mountain: a 50 miler, an 18 miler and a 10K, mostly on singletrack. The 50 and 18 mile runners travel together until the 18 ends. The 50 passes Lula Lake Land Trust and its 120' Lula Falls, with hot soup and campfires at the aid stations. Race proceeds benefit Wild Trails.

Crew rules
Crew are welcome but may assist only at designated aid stations (Reflection Riding, Covenant College at mile 18, and the Nickajack trailhead). Breaking the rules may result in disqualification. docs.google.com
Pacer rules
Safety runners are allowed at the Nickajack trailhead (both directions). Muling is not allowed. docs.google.com
Drop bag rules
Drop bags go to Covenant College (mile 18.4) or Long Branch (mile 33.1 / 37.3). Limit one gallon zip lock bag (or slightly larger), waterproof, marked with bib number and aid station name; bring them to the start/finish on race morning. No coolers or duffle bags. Bags are returned to the start/finish by 8pm, or Sunday noon-5:00pm ET at Fleet Feet (307 Manufacturers Rd). docs.google.com
Cutoff philosophy
Cutoff times are strictly enforced. A sweep leaves each aid station at the cutoff time to pick up course marking flags for the next section. docs.google.com
