Are pacers allowed on the 50K course?

Yes, pacers are allowed on the 50K course. Pacers are allowed in the 50K only, and only for the last two loops. There is no charge for pacers, but a waiver is required. Pacers cannot carry supplies for the runner, cannot take supplies for themselves at the aid stations, cannot run through the finish line with the runner (at the end of the race or when finishing a lap), and must arrive at the aid station with or after the runner and leave with or before the runner.

The course

Where it goes multi-loop · 2 aid stations

Five loops of the 10K loop, starting at 8 am from Stewart Lodge.

The 10K loop is entirely off-road, mostly doubletrack with some singletrack, with many rolling hills and one short rocky downhill where the footing can be tricky. The low point to the high point is only 300 feet, and the course is essentially never flat.

A trail run in Mendon Ponds Park, south of Rochester, New York, with a 50K, a half marathon, a 10K and a 5K. The 50K is five laps of a 10K loop on doubletrack and some singletrack, with many rolling hills. It starts and finishes at Stewart Lodge.

The Rochester Orienteering Club has offered the Mendon Trail Run since 1994. It raises funds to support the club's activities.
