Registration open as of research date (Aug 2026), closing Fri Sep 4, 2026 11:59 PM CT per UltraSignup. hawkhundred.com's own footer and Travel page independently display "September 6-7, 2026" (a Sunday-Monday pairing that does not match the site's own "Saturday RACE DAY!" framing) while the homepage hero, Calendar page body, UltraSignup registration page and the Trail Hawks club race page all independently agree on Saturday-Sunday September 12-13, 2026.
Free, and always will be. NavRun makes money from race-day planning for runners who want it, never from this.
Ultras change constantly, sometimes the morning of. Always confirm with the race director and the official website before you rely on anything here.

Multi-loop trail race on the Clinton Lake North Shore Trails: a 25-mile lap (blue, red and white blazed singletrack, plus the grass Bunker Hill/Goodwin Loop off West Park Road) repeated from a single Start/Finish.
The published course GPX covers only the 25-mile loop and does not include this 1.2-mile stem.
The race
What this one is
A multi-loop trail race at Clinton Lake State Park in Lawrence, Kansas, presented by the Lawrence Trail Hawks. Offers 100-mile, 50-mile and marathon distances, all run on repeats of the same 25-mile North Shore Trails loop from one Start/Finish.
Run annually since 2011; the 2026 edition is the race's 16th running. A 75-mile option offered in at least 2025 is not offered in 2026 (2026 UltraSignup and club pages list only 100 Mile, 50 Mile and Marathon).
Getting in
Getting in
Entry, lottery and what the race asks of you before race day.
Crews may meet runners at Start/Finish HQ (free Army Corps of Engineers entrance, gate locked 10 PM–6 AM) and at the West Park Road aid station (inside the fee area of the state park: $5/vehicle day pass or $25 annual permit required to drive in). Lands End is not a crew-access station even though it is reachable by vehicle via Campground 1.

Cutoff philosophy
Only the shared finish-line cutoff applies: Sunday 2 PM, 30 hours after the marathon's 8 AM start. No intermediate aid-station cutoffs are published for the marathon distance; the Sunday 10 AM / noon cutoffs are stated by the race as applying to the 100 and 50-mile races only.

Somebody has been out there with a camera
the tables say the climb is long. these say what long feels like.
Nobody has been out there with a camera or a microphone yet. A gap means nobody has found it, not that it is not out there. Seen a course preview or a film of this one? Send us the link.

What you know
every one of these is read by a person before it changes anything
Ran this race? Tell the next runner what you know.
Nobody sees it until we have read it. No account, no sign-in.
See something wrong or out of date? Suggest an edit.
This changes nothing on the page on its own. Somebody checks it against the race first.
Seen a course preview or a film of this one? Send it over.
Somebody watches it before it goes anywhere near this page. What we are after is footage of this course, on the ground. If it would be just as true of any other race, it is not this.
Have the GPX? Send us the link.
We want the address of the file the race publishes, not the file. We download it from there so the page can say where the line came from.
Are you the race director? Get in touch and we'll make it right.
We read every one of these and we write back. Every fact here carries the source it came from, and the way a wrong one gets fixed is a person checking it against what you tell us.
Where this came from.
Every fact on this page records its source and when we last checked it: 128 sources for this race. Hover a source link to read the sentence it came from.
47% of what we track for a course is filled in. The rest says "not checked yet" rather than guessing.
Ultras change. We will tell you when this one does.
Cutoffs move, races get postponed, lotteries open and close. We read the race's own sources and record where every fact came from. Put your email in and we will send you what changed, and where we read it.
No account, and nothing to cancel.
What happens to your email. Nothing else. I do not sell it, and I will not send you anything except this race changing. One click gets you out.
I keep this catalog because the information is scattered and hard to trust. Telling you when it moves is the same job.
