The race

What this one is

A 50K, 25K and 10K on the dirt trails and fire roads of Fort Ord National Monument above Monterey Bay, starting and finishing at Laguna Seca Recreation Area. The 50K runs on Saturday and the 25K and 10K on Sunday, the same weekend as the Monterey Ultra 50 Miler.

Fort Ord was a U.S. Army post on Monterey Bay, established in 1917 and closed in September 1994. On April 20, 2012, a 14,651-acre portion of the former post was designated the Fort Ord National Monument.
