The race

What this one is

A high-elevation trail race (100 Mile, 50 Mile, 60K, 50K, 30K and Half Marathon) that runs around the northern half and western edge of the Paunsaugunt Plateau near Bryce Canyon National Park, starting and finishing at Lucky 7 Ranch in Hatch, Utah. Most of the course is between 7,000 and 9,000 feet.

First run in 2013 as part of the original Ultra Adventures series. For the 2026 edition the race is organized by Aravaipa Running, which states it is "reuniting the Tushars with the classic Zion Ultras, Bryce Canyon Ultras, and Antelope Canyon ultras in 2026 and beyond" as part of its Ultra Adventures / Grand Circle series -- succeeding previous organizer Vacation Races, whose branding appears on race videos through the 2024 edition. The race date also moved: third-party video from the 2024 edition places that running on "Sunday, May 19, 2024," while the 2026 edition under Aravaipa runs September 19-20, 2026.

Crew rules
Register: Friday expo or Saturday before race starts. Crew/pacer bib must be visible at ALL times. Course access is allowed only at the aid stations listed on the course's aid station chart. Multiple pacers allowed over the duration of the race; one pacer allowed on course at a time. 2-3 crew members allowed at aid stations at the same time; staff may ask non-active crew members to return to their vehicles to avoid overcrowding. Runners are responsible for the actions of their crew and pacers. aravaiparunning.com

Drop bag rules
All drop bags must be labeled with name, bib #, aid station, and race distance, and left in the designated drop-off location near the start line by 7pm the night before the race (UltraSignup: 100 Mile and 50 Mile drop bags deadline is 8:00 pm MT Friday, September 18). Minimum size a gallon-size freezer zip lock; maximum size a shoe box for single-pass/daytime stations or a small duffle/carry-on for multiple-pass stations. No valuables or fragile items. Bags are generally returned to a 'Return to Finish Line' area about 90 minutes after the aid station fully closes to all distances passing through it; runners who don't want to wait can have bags mailed back for $35/bag. aravaiparunning.com
Cutoff philosophy
Cutoffs are enforced by gun time for your wave. Example: 7:00 AM wave = 3:00 AM cutoff; 8:00 AM wave = 4:00 AM cutoff. (Station-level cutoff times specific to this course were not yet published at fill time -- every course's Cutoff Times accordion read "More Info Coming Soon...".) aravaiparunning.com
