Free. You can start with nothing.

Free, and always will be. NavRun makes money from race-day planning for runners who want it, never from this. Ultras change constantly, sometimes the morning of. Always confirm with the race director and the official website before you rely on anything here.

The course

Where it goes point to point · 17 aid stations

Course line from the race's own GPX. Source file. Recorded 2026.

Point-to-point across Florida: the Withlacoochee Bay Trail, power-line trails along Lake Rousseau, the Florida Trail through the Cross Florida Greenway and the Ocala National Forest, dirt roads, then rails-to-trails from Palatka and road to the St. Augustine Beach Pier. Twelve aid stations plus crew access and water points. Crewed and Uncrewed divisions.

Surface mix as published: 110 miles of Florida Trail, 10 miles of state park trails, 40 miles of dirt roads, 20 miles of rails-to-trails and 20 miles of country roads. The race calls the 20 rails-to-trails miles from Palatka into St. Augustine the hardest part. Use sidewalks where possible on the final road miles. Finish distance is written as 200.5 miles in one place and 200.7 in another. Aid Station #1 was removed for 2026 and five new crew access points and five new water drops were added. No elevation figures are published.

The race

What this one is

A 200-mile point-to-point trail run from the Withlacoochee Bay Trail on Florida's west coast to the St. Augustine Beach Pier on the Atlantic, with 96 hours to finish. The route follows the Florida Trail for 110 miles, plus state park trails, dirt roads, rails-to-trails and country roads. Runners fill a sand bottle on the west coast and top it off with east coast sand at the finish.

Crew rules
Two divisions, Crewed and Uncrewed. Crew may help only at aid stations, the approved crew access/water points and the finish; no drops or stashes anywhere else, and crew vehicles may not travel alongside runners. Runners must still check in at every aid station. Trailheads stay open to the public and the permit does not allow parking on roads, so follow aid station staff on where to park. A crew member who argues with volunteers, breaks the law or jeopardizes the permit gets the runner disqualified on the first offense. Leaving items for the runner anywhere on the course is also grounds for DQ. ff2ff488-d46d-4fa9-af42-764b940710d9.usrfiles.com
Pacer rules
Pacers check in with aid station staff, sign a waiver and receive a "Pacer" bib that must be worn and cannot be passed to another pacer. Bring $30 cash. Pacers may not carry the runner's GPS tracker or mandatory gear. Pacers wear an orange safety vest from Aid Station #6 to #11. Aid station food and drinks are for runners and active pacers only. The race page says pacers can bike next to the runner in some sections. ff2ff488-d46d-4fa9-af42-764b940710d9.usrfiles.com
Drop bag rules
12 drop bags total: two 2-gallon Ziploc bags per aid station, taken by staff to Aid Stations #2, #4, #6, #8, #10 and #12. Write name, bib number and aid station on each bag. Everything must fit in the bag; no backpacks or coolers. Staff move bags forward to the next assigned aid station and try to have them all at #12 and the finish by Sunday 10 a.m., not guaranteed. Bags can be dropped at either packet pickup. ff2ff488-d46d-4fa9-af42-764b940710d9.usrfiles.com
Cutoff philosophy
Aid station closing times assume a 30-minute pace (2 miles per hour) to finish in 96 hours. They are not hard cut-offs; staff remind or wake runners when a station is about to close. ff2ff488-d46d-4fa9-af42-764b940710d9.usrfiles.com

What it looks like out there

Somebody has been out there with a camera the tables say the climb is long. these say what long feels like.

5 people have been out there with a camera or a microphone.

These are other people's work and we link straight to them. Watching costs nothing and needs no account. More of them: every race we hold, on film.

Ultras change. We will tell you when this one does.

Cutoffs move, races get postponed, lotteries open and close. We read the race's own sources and record where every fact came from. Put your email in and we will send you what changed, and where we read it.

No account, and nothing to cancel.

What happens to your email. Nothing else. I do not sell it, and I will not send you anything except this race changing. One click gets you out.

I keep this catalog because the information is scattered and hard to trust. Telling you when it moves is the same job.
