Two loops of the 25km course, from the same start and finish. Runners 65 and over can arrange a 6am start before race day. Direction follows the year: clockwise in even years, counterclockwise in odd years.
A low-key trail race in Kenna Cartwright Park in Kamloops, BC, with 50km, 25km, 14km and 8km options. The course runs on desert terrain with views over the city, mostly singletrack on compact dirt with some loose rock, steep punchy climbs and sagebrush country. It alternates direction by year: clockwise in even years, counterclockwise in odd years.
Founded in 1992 as a well organized, low cost, low key event. It was first held in Juniper Park east of Kamloops from 1992 to 2000, moved to Kenna Cartwright Park in 2001, and has run on its current courses since 2016, the 25th anniversary. Smoke and fires moved it to the Rivers Trail in 2003 and to Stake Lake in 2017, and it was cancelled in 2020 and 2021 during Covid.
