Eryri 50K is a 56 km, 3,400 m+ loop from Llanberis starting at 08:30 on Saturday in three waves, with a 14 hour limit.

Terrain varies from runnable sections to highly technical mountain trails, with rocky slabs and narrow ridgelines.

What this one is

A 56 km loop from Llanberis that climbs Yr Wyddfa (Snowdon) and then threads the trails of the Snowdon massif, with a 14 hour limit and three start waves on Saturday morning.

Eryri by UTMB began as an idea in 2015, when British runner Michael Jones, training for UTMB in the Alps, wondered why the UK had no ultra-trail race with a similar mountain character. It became Ultra-Trail Snowdonia by UTMB, first held in 2018. From 2027 the event is called Eryri by UTMB, using the Welsh name for the area.

Cutoff philosophy
Cut-offs are set so that someone running or walking at an average pace can reach each aid station and the finish inside the time allowance.
