The 50 km course from Scenic World, Katoomba: cliff tops past Mt Solitary, Fairmont Resort, Wentworth Falls, down Kedumba Pass and back up the 951 Furber Steps to the Scenic World finish. It traces the second half of the UTA100 route.

Fire trail, narrow walking tracks, very steep staircases, ladders, river and creek crossings, dirt, rock and rough ground, remote in sections so first aid and rescue can be slow to arrive. Includes the 951 Furber Steps up to the finish at Scenic World.

Crew rules
Crew can assist only inside the checkpoint, at checkpoints 1 (Fairmont Resort) and 2 (Queen Victoria Hospital), both reachable by standard 2WD. Crew cannot drive, ride or walk on any section of course to service their runner and cannot run alongside outside the aid stations. uta.utmb.world

Cutoff philosophy
Cut-off times are for leaving the checkpoint. In bad weather cut-offs may be brought forward during the event. A runner who misses a cut-off must follow the directions of officials. Cut-off pace required 3.4 km/hr. uta.utmb.world
