The half marathon starts at the same line as the other races, runs its own first leg up Bear Meadows Road, then joins the 50K course for its last miles to the finish at Tussey Mountain Ski Area.

Tussey Mountainback is a gravel and forest road race through Rothrock State Forest near Boalsburg, Pennsylvania. Runners choose a 50 mile, a 50K or a half marathon, or run the 50 mile loop as a relay of two to eight. Everything starts at Tussey Mountain Ski Area in October.
