Sedona's trails are technical. The trails include sandy washes, slick rock and narrow single track. Trails stay open to hikers and mountain bikers during the race.

What this one is

The Vortex Ultra Experience is a trail race weekend in the Red Rocks of Sedona, Arizona, with five distances from 4 miles to 50 miles. The courses use Sedona's single track, slick rock plateaus and sandy washes, with red rock views and towering spires. Every runner gets a finisher medal or buckle and a tech shirt, and the post-race Vendor Village runs from 9 AM to 6 PM.
