The race

What this one is

A trail race in the Hartman Rocks Recreation Area outside Gunnison, Colorado, with 50K, 28K and 15K distances. The hills are covered in sage brush, with views of the Maroon Bells, the San Juan Mountains and the Gunnison Basin. The course has some technical slickrock, some smooth singletrack and doubletrack for speed, and rolling hills and punchy climbs in a high desert climate.
