A lollipop loop from The Adobe Resort in Yachats, through old growth rainforest singletrack in the Cape Perpetua Scenic Area with coastline views and rocky bluffs along the shoreline.
The first 2.5 miles and the last 2.5 miles are fast and flat on the Oregon Coast Trail, on some trail, groomed lawn, gravel path and paved road shoulder along the coastal bluffs. After the Hwy 101 crossing the course is almost entirely dirt singletrack and much hillier, with some significant climbs and descents, shallow spruce roots and rocky sections. Footbridges can be very slick.
Trail races in Yachats on the central Oregon coast and in the Cape Perpetua Scenic Area. A 50K and a 20 miler on Saturday, a half marathon and a 10K on Sunday, over beach, coastal bluffs and moss-draped old growth rainforest singletrack. Everything is staged at The Adobe Resort. The 2026 50K was the USATF 50K Trail National Championship.
From 2014 to 2021 this event was hosted as the Oregon Coast trail runs by Rainshadow Running. Daybreak Racing carries it on as Perpetua Coast.

Walk from Cape Perpetua Visitor Center north along the course for .25 miles on Giant Spruce Trail to the aid station at Cape Perpetua Campground (follow the course markings between the Visitor Center and restrooms). The campground is closed and gated for the season. Do not park at the entrance to Cape Perpetua Campground or anywhere other than Cape Perpetua Visitor Center.
Parking. Parking is $5/vehicle at Cape Perpetua Visitor Center, or display your annual NW Forest Pass. No parking is allowed at the campground entrance gate; violators will be towed and their runner disqualified from the race.
