Free. You can start with nothing.
A 4.5 mile loop on the park's National Recreation Trail (Blue Blaze), CCC Multi-Use Trail (Orange Blaze), Living History Farm and Historic Farm Trail (Yellow Blaze), repeated for 12 hours from 8 PM Saturday to 8 AM Sunday. Each loop passes the Lake Crawford dam and the Living History Farm, where horses, cattle and donkeys live. A designated area for canopies is set up along the course. Runners choose how many loops to run.
Rolling hills, creeks and a lake crossing the dam on every loop, run mostly in the dark.
A night race at Kings Mountain State Park in Clover, South Carolina. It starts at 8 PM on a Saturday and runs until 8 AM Sunday. You run a 4.5 mile loop past Lake Crawford, the dam and the park's Living History Farm, and you take as many loops as you choose in the 12 hours. The aid station and your drop bags sit on the course, so you pass your own gear every lap. The race exists to show off the park's trails and to pay for improvements to them. Entrants have covered anywhere from a few loops to just over 60 miles.
Results are posted for every September from 2019 through 2026.

Nobody has been out there with a camera or a microphone yet. A gap means nobody has found it, not that it is not out there. Seen a course preview or a film of this one? Send us the link.
Nobody sees it until we have read it. No account, no sign-in.
This changes nothing on the page on its own. Somebody checks it against the race first.
Nobody sees it until we have read it. No account, no sign-in.
Somebody watches it before it goes anywhere near this page. What we are after is footage of this course, on the ground. If it would be just as true of any other race, it is not this.
We want the address of the file the race publishes, not the file. We download it from there so the page can say where the line came from.
We read every one of these and we write back. Every fact here carries the source it came from, and the way a wrong one gets fixed is a person checking it against what you tell us.
Cutoffs move, races get postponed, lotteries open and close. We read the race's own sources and record where every fact came from. Put your email in and we will send you what changed, and where we read it.
No account, and nothing to cancel.
What happens to your email. Nothing else. I do not sell it, and I will not send you anything except this race changing. One click gets you out.
I keep this catalog because the information is scattered and hard to trust. Telling you when it moves is the same job.
