The course

Where it goes fixed time · 1 aid station · rust marks a stop your crew can reach

No official GPX on file yet. These are the aid station coordinates, not the trail. Have the GPX? Send us the link.

A fixed twenty-four hour timed event on the same two-mile base-camp loop: the distance covered is the result, not a property of the course.

The 2 mile course winds through field and forest with several small stream crossings. There are plenty of roots and rocks so trail running shoes are definitely in order. Each 2 mile loop has approx. 300' of elevation gain.

The race

What this one is

A weekend-long trail event at Horseshoe Bend Park near Frenchtown, New Jersey, built around a two-mile loop through forest and field with small stream crossings, returning every runner to one base camp aid station each lap. Runners choose a fixed distance, fifty or one hundred miles, or a fixed amount of time, twenty-four or forty-eight hours. A marathon, a twelve hour, a six hour and two 10Ks run the same loop the same weekend.

Crew rules
Runners are each allotted one 10'x10' camping area at the basecamp directly on the course in addition to one parking spot within 200'-300' from the basecamp. spirit-trips.com
Pacer rules

Drop bag rules
There is no separate drop-bag point: each runner keeps a personal 10'x10' camp directly beside the base-camp aid station, reachable every lap, in place of a drop bag. spirit-trips.com

What it looks like out there

Somebody has been out there with a camera the tables say the climb is long. these say what long feels like.

Nobody has been out there with a camera or a microphone yet. A gap means nobody has found it, not that it is not out there. Seen a course preview or a film of this one? Send us the link.

Nobody sees it until we have read it. No account, no sign-in.

Leave blank if it applies to the whole race.

Leave blank if it is not about one particular stop.

Optional. Something like “Cal Street, mile 62 to 78”.

Write it the way you would say it to someone at the start line.

Optional, and it decides nothing. It only tells the next runner where this is coming from.

This changes nothing on the page on its own. Somebody checks it against the race first.

Somebody watches it before it goes anywhere near this page. What we are after is footage of this course, on the ground. If it would be just as true of any other race, it is not this.

Required. A line is plenty. Where the climbs are, what the footing does, what the last twenty miles look like.
