Where it goes

The 25k starts at 9:00 AM from the Lake Parking Lot in Hanging Rock State Park and has a 6 hour time limit. Aid stations are about every 6 to 7.5 miles, with water, Skratch Labs electrolyte drink, bananas, orange slices, potato chips, pretzels, PB&J, pickles, Snickers and M&Ms at a minimum.

Smooth singletrack and extremely technical singletrack, with small boulders and rocks strewn through the trail. The course passes waterfalls, massive boulders, cliff sides, a fire tower and vistas.

HAROC (Hanging Rock Challenge) is a 50k and 25k trail race in Hanging Rock State Park, North Carolina, put on by Tanawha Adventures. The courses mix smooth singletrack with extremely technical singletrack, with small boulders and rocks strewn along the trail, and pass waterfalls, massive boulders, cliff sides and a fire tower. It is held in the winter.
