Starts and finishes on Main Street in downtown Superior. Runners head west of town into Arnett Canyon, with flowing creeks, rock formations and sycamores, to the Picketpost Trailhead, then continue south on the Arizona Trail around Picketpost Mountain before returning to finish on Main Street.

The race

What this one is

Trail runs out of the old mining town of Superior, Arizona, with 50K, 32K, 17K and 12K distances. The courses head west of town into Arnett Canyon, with flowing creeks, rock formations and sycamores, and the 50K carries on along the Arizona Trail around Picketpost Mountain. Start and finish are on Main Street in downtown Superior, except the 12K, which starts and finishes at the Superior Public Pool.

The first Copper Corridor Trail Runs was held in 2020.

Crews are welcome to support runners at the finish line, Superior Public Pool, LOST Turnaround point, & Picketpost. Crews cannot park at the Picketpost trailhead: they park 0.5 to 0.75 miles away in the horse staging area and hike to meet runners at the aid station. A runner seen receiving aid from a vehicle in the Picket Post trailhead parking lot is subject to penalty or DQ. Crews are also allowed at the LOST Turnaround point. aravaiparunning.com
