Crew rules
Crew is allowed on the course to provide support outside of aid stations: one crew vehicle per participant, or one vehicle per group of runners. Crews must wait to assist their runners until after the official check-in, follow the instructions of aid station personnel, and keep to one vehicle per runner at all checkpoints except the start/finish area. Motor homes are not permitted at any checkpoints. Do not drive down level B (minimum maintenance) roads under any circumstances; towing fees fall on the crew or driver. A crew that disregards parking instructions, race rules, directions or requests from race officials gets the runner disqualified. boonevillebackroads.com
Pacer rules
Pacers are allowed after the 100k point, at the start/finish line. One pacer at a time, as many pacers as you wish over the day. Pacers may be picked up only at aid stations and approved crew points, must enter and leave each aid station with their runner, and may not carry supplies for anyone but themselves. Muling is forbidden and no mechanical or physical assistance may be given to the runner. boonevillebackroads.com
Drop bag rules
Drop bags are allowed at any of the manned aid stations. Run management carries them to those stations for crewless runners, and asks runners with a crew not to overload volunteers with unnecessary bags. Drop bags must be securely tied, labeled with the runner's name and entry number, and brought to packet pickup on Friday; none are collected on race day. Each bag must fit through a 6 by 8 inch opening and be no longer than 16 inches, one bag per aid station, no paper bags or glass bottles, no perishable items. Pacers are not allowed drop bags. Bags are returned to the start/finish area when the aid stations close, and must be claimed by the end of the event on Sunday. boonevillebackroads.com

What it looks like out there

Somebody has been out there with a camera the tables say the climb is long. these say what long feels like.

Nobody has been out there with a camera or a microphone yet. A gap means nobody has found it, not that it is not out there. Seen a course preview or a film of this one? Send us the link.

Ultras change. We will tell you when this one does.

Cutoffs move, races get postponed, lotteries open and close. We read the race's own sources and record where every fact came from. Put your email in and we will send you what changed, and where we read it.

No account, and nothing to cancel.

What happens to your email. Nothing else. I do not sell it, and I will not send you anything except this race changing. One click gets you out.

I keep this catalog because the information is scattered and hard to trust. Telling you when it moves is the same job.
