One 6.7 km loop every hour, on the hour, from the start corral at Kivi Park. Runners must be in the corral when the horn sounds; time left in the hour is for resting and refuelling. A runner who misses a loop or the corral is out. The winner is the last runner to finish a loop, one more than the second-to-last runner. Whistles warn at 3, 2 and 1 minutes before each start.
Wide packed crusher-dust ski trails (5-7 m wide) plus straightforward single-track with some rock, roots and gentle undulation. No roads. Wildlife (deer, bears) in the park. No elevation figures published.
