Point-to-point on the Ozark Trail from a remote trailhead at CR 862 & FR 2309 in Reynolds County, MO to Bass River Resort near Steelville. Other than the first ~3.5 miles of forest road at the start and the final mile through Bass River Resort, the entire course follows the Ozark Trail itself, marked only by the trail's own permanent OT markers.
"The race is mostly on single track trail with several water crossings and approximately 12,000 feet of elevation gain. The trail surface varies from smooth dirt trail to moderately technical trail with lots of leaves covering the trail." A 2009 finisher's account (GoBroncoBilly blog) called it "Trail by Braille" for how the fallen leaves obscure the tread. Note: the site's own prose gives the distance as 101 miles while its own aid-station chart's Finish row reads 100.9 miles into race; both figures are recorded on this course (published_distance_value / distance_miles) rather than forced to agree.
A point-to-point 101-mile ultramarathon on the Ozark Trail through the Mark Twain National Forest in south-central Missouri, mostly single-track with several water crossings and about 12,000 feet of elevation gain. Starts at CR 862 & FR 2309 in Reynolds County and finishes at Bass River Resort near Steelville.
Founded in 2009 as a first-year hundred by co-race-directors Stuart Johnson and Paul Schoenlaub. The 2026 edition is the race's 18th running and has been selected as the 2026 Missouri RRCA State Ultra Championship race. The event date has moved around from year to year (early November in the 2010s, October 25 in 2025, October 31 in 2026).

This changes nothing on the page on its own. Somebody checks it against the race first.
We want the address of the file the race publishes, not the file. We download it from there so the page can say where the line came from.
We read every one of these and we write back. Every fact here carries the source it came from, and the way a wrong one gets fixed is a person checking it against what you tell us.
